Why We Built Sphot

The 4-Hour Reel Problem

Every creator knows the cycle. You have great footage. You know what you want to say. But between the raw video and a published Reel, there's a black hole of time.

Selecting the right clips. Timing the cuts. Finding music that fits. Writing a hook that stops the scroll. Adding text overlays. Color grading. Exporting. Uploading. Writing captions. Adding hashtags. Scheduling.

Four hours. For thirty seconds of content.

And if you're posting daily — which the algorithm practically demands — that's 28 hours a week. A full-time job, just on post-production.

The Automation Gap

We looked at every tool on the market. They all fell into the same trap: they automated parts of the process while leaving the creative assembly to you.

Template-based editors saved time on design but not on creative decisions. AI caption tools helped with text but not with editing. Scheduling tools handled publishing but not production. Repurposing tools redistributed existing content but didn't create anything new.

Nobody was tackling the entire pipeline. End to end. Zero touch.

The Sphot Approach

What if we built a system that truly understood your footage? Not just "here are some clips" — but deep understanding. Scene detection. Emotion analysis. Object recognition. Movement tracking.

And then used that understanding to make every creative decision automatically. Write the script. Select the music. Time the cuts to the beat. Add motion graphics that match the energy. Generate subtitles. Check quality. Publish.

That's Sphot. A system where you upload footage to Google Drive and wake up to published Reels.

What's Next

We're in beta now, and the results have been incredible. Creators are telling us they've gone from spending hours per Reel to spending zero time — while their engagement actually improved.

The AI makes creative decisions that are consistently good. Not perfect every time, but consistently at a level that would take a human editor significant time to achieve. And it's getting better every day.

If you're a creator who's tired of the editing grind, request beta access. Your production pipeline is waiting.
