What Is a Schedule?
A schedule is a recurring trigger that fires the production pipeline automatically. Once set up, Sphot monitors your footage source and produces Reels on your defined cadence — without you pressing anything.
Creating a Schedule
- Navigate to Dashboard → Schedule
- Click New Schedule
- Choose a cadence (see below)
- Set your publish time
- Select production mode
- Toggle approval gate on or off
- Save
Cadence Options
| Option | Description | |---|---| | Daily | Once per day at your chosen time | | 2× Daily | Morning and evening | | Weekdays | Monday–Friday only | | Every 6 hours | 4× per day | | Every 2 hours | Active hours only | | Custom | Your own cron expression |
Approval Gate
When the approval gate is on (default), the pipeline pauses at the pre-publish stage. You receive a notification and must tap Approve or Reject before the Reel goes live.
When off, Reels are published automatically with no manual step required.
We recommend keeping the gate on for the first two weeks while you calibrate the system to your brand voice.
Fallback Behaviour
If no new footage is found when a schedule fires:
- Skip — the run is skipped. Nothing is produced or published.
- Reuse latest — the most recent unused footage is processed again with fresh script and music.
Set this under Schedule → Advanced Settings.
Pausing and Deleting Schedules
- Pause — stops future triggers without deleting settings
- Delete — removes the schedule permanently (production history is preserved)
You can have multiple active schedules per Instagram account.
